The Metz Mecablitz 48 AF-1 digital is a shoe-mount flash unit designed for interfacing with specific TTL systems from major camera manufacturers. The device features a guide number of 48 at ISO 100 with the zoom head set to the maximum focal length of 105 mm. The flash head can be tilted vertically (up to 90 degrees) and rotated horizontally (up to 270 degrees) to allow for bounce lighting. The integrated motorized zoom covers a focal range from 24 mm to 105 mm, extendable to 18 mm using the built-in wide-angle diffuser. On the back, the device features an LCD panel for parameter display and a keypad for manual power adjustment, scalable across 12 levels.
